Thursday 12th January – Sera Knight S.W.A. – People – Watercolour Sera is a popular club member and successful local artist. She paints mainly in watercolour, acrylics and mixed media.
She runs her own art classes within the area. Her demos and workshops are enjoyable and always well attended. Sera specialises
in cityscapes and dancers.

Thursday 9th February
– Robin Mackervoy – “Still Life” – Oils Robin is a
member of the Royal Institute of Oil Painters and of the Wapping Group of Artists. He has demonstrated for various art suppliers,
in all mediums, including Winsor and Newton and Talens. He is a Trustee and past President of
the London Sketch Club and current President of the Lea Valley Art Society. Members may well remember
Robin’s first visit way back in July 2009. A superb demonstration. Many asked for his return. Now’s the opportunity,
and for those of you who have not seen him in action. “Do not miss this man and his art”

Thursday 8th March –
Freda Anderson – Flowers – Mixed Media Freda studied with Cecily Sash,
one of the leading artists in South Africa, but decided to make a career in Nursing. Whilst working part-time as a clinical
midwifery teacher she became a skilled silversmith, sculptor and watercolour artist. She retired from nursing in 1992 to become
a professional artist. She works with mixed media, watercolour, pastels and oils. Freda lectures, demonstrates and runs courses
at the Craft centre Studio at the Riverside Arts Centre, Sunbury. Freda is a superb teacher, very professional, covers the
subject in great depth with authority and enthusiasm.

Thursday 12th April –
Chris Forsey – Cornwall – Mixed Media Chris’s demonstrations and
workshops are always eagerly anticipated. He is a successful professional artist, working mainly in acrylics and mixed media.
His subjects are usually seascapes and landscapes. Not only are his paintings brilliant, he keeps his audience entertained
and makes our club nights a very enjoyable experience.

Anthony Slinn – Talk – T.B.A. The welcome return of a popular visitor
to the S.A.S. over the years. Last with us in 1998. Anthony will give a talk in his own inimitable way. Flamboyant, charming,

Thursday 9th August – Liz Seward S.W.A. – Local Landscape – Mixed Media Popular club member Liz has been painting and drawing all her life. After an early career in scientific illustration
and raising a family she qualified as an adult education lecturer and taught drawing, watercolours and mixed media for 24
years, retiring in 2003 to concentrate on her own work and a busy schedule demonstrating to Art Societies on a national basis.
She has also demonstrated for a number of leading companies and is an expert on artists’ materials. She has exhibited
widely in many galleries around the country and in London at both Mall and Westminster Galleries. Her work has been reproduced
as greetings cards by many organisations and she has won a number of prestigious awards. Liz has contributed to several books
including ‘Watercolour Plus’ and ‘The Artists’ Sketchbook’ and is a regular contributor to ‘The
Artist’ magazine. She was elected to The Society of Women Artists in 1993 and became a full member of the Society of
Floral Painters in 2000. Liz is a talented and imaginative painter, I’m sure the evening will be fun.

Thursday 13th September – Rob Wareing – Portraits in Pastel Rob has been a professional artist for 30 years, exhibiting and painting portraits in many parts of the world. He
was born and spent most of his life in South Africa where he owned a gallery for a number of years. He has been commissioned
to paint many portraits of famous people including the State President of Botswana and Nelson Mandela. Rob was with us for the first time in 2010, a quietly spoken man of few words, preferring to let his brushes do the
talking, captured the likeness of the sitter club member, Sera Knight within a few minutes. The final result was superb. He
gave us a great evening. I am sure he will not disappoint.

– Soraya French – T.B.A. – Mixed Media A S.A.S. Favourite –
She is a very successful artist, her paintings are vibrant and of various subjects. She’s a very bubbly individual with
a creative and enthusiastic approach to her art – Beware you will definitely not get a chance “to doze off”.

Thursday 8th November – Roger
Dellar – T.B.A. For newer members, Roger is a
professional figurative artist who works in oils, pastels, mixed media, acrylics and water based media. He is a member of
several prestigious institutions including the Royal Institute of Oil Painters and has won many major awards during his career.
He is always welcomed back to the SAS and his demonstrations and workshops are always heavily subscribed. Roger was last with us in 2008 with a superb demonstration of portraiture in oils. He
insisted on having a sitter with “a lived in face”. Well you could not find a better one than the Old Chairman.
The portrait still has pride of place in the lounge at Calluna. Do not miss this man he’s very, very, very good.

Haines – Workshop - Watercolour Saturday,

Thursday 13th December - A.G.M. and Christmas Social Evening Everyone is welcome. A short appraisal of 2012 and our plans for 2013. A chance to air your views. Elect the Committee.
